Why we built Stayvera.

Nicolas Villa, founder of Stayvera

Hospitality runs in my family. My grandfather owned a hotel. When it burned down in 2016, my mother could not leave the industry behind. She became a real estate agent, started her own agency, and still missed the one thing hospitality gave her: guests. So she began renting out a villa. Three apartments, sixteen guests a day.

She did not have time to run it. So at sixteen, I did. I answered the messages, set the prices, cleaned the apartments myself, and watched booking platforms take a quarter of every reservation for doing none of the work.

I am Nicolas Villa. I founded Stayvera at eighteen to build the fairer alternative I wished existed: for the hosts doing the real work, and the travelers paying too much for too little.

Built with my co-founder Severin, an engineer who did his first software internship at sixteen and won Vienna’s biggest coding competition.

Ratings told us the apartments worked. These pages told us why it mattered. They are real, and they are the reason Stayvera exists.
